Your work belongs here
Making music, explaining equipment or sharing what happens in your studio? We'd love to have you on audio.reviews. We're a new platform within the audio online network, built around people and their experience. Create an account, complete your public profile and help shape the community while it's growing.
Having an account and being listed as a creator or artist is and will remain free. You don't need an App Membership to participate or apply for a listing. Optional paid memberships support the platform; they don't buy editorial approval.
For content creators: connect your YouTube channel
Start from your profile, open Settings and connect YouTube. Google handles the sign-in and consent screen; you never give audio.reviews your Google password. Read the requested permissions before agreeing and choose the channel you want to connect.
We use the connection to identify your channel and retrieve its public channel name, handle, image and subscriber statistics. These help us associate the channel with your profile and check creator eligibility. Once eligible, open the Creator Zone from Settings and apply for the directory. A moderator reviews the application before an approved creator appears in the public directory. Connecting a channel alone does not guarantee a listing.
Your listing helps other musicians find your work alongside equipment discussions and studio inspiration. Browse the creator directory to see how approved profiles appear.
What YouTube access actually allows
The Google permission is called YouTube read-only access (youtube.readonly). Its scope is broader than a promise of access to public data only: Google describes it as viewing your YouTube account. Our integration uses it for channel identification and statistics, not for reading your private videos, playlists or viewing history.
This permission does not let audio.reviews upload, edit or delete videos or post comments. Connection tokens are kept server-side, outside your public profile, so the connection can stay linked without repeated sign-ins. We do not publish those tokens. A public video player is loaded only when a visitor chooses to load it.
For artists: your profile and Spotify
You can already create a free audio.reviews account, introduce yourself on your profile and share your studio and equipment experience. The artist directory is intended to help the community discover musicians and their work; directory applications are subject to eligibility and moderation.
The Spotify connection is not currently available for public use. This page does not ask you to authorize Spotify, and signing up to audio.reviews does not grant access to your Spotify account. We will explain the exact permissions and available application steps before a live connection is enabled. A Spotify listener account alone is not proof that you manage an artist.
If you would like to participate as an artist now, contact [email protected] with your public artist link and your audio.reviews profile. Please don't send passwords, private access tokens or unreleased music. We can clarify the current listing options; sending a link does not guarantee approval.
Studios, community support and Boosts
Publish your studio or setup to show how you work and which equipment you use. Community members with an eligible App Membership can use Boosts on published studios. Boosts currently support studio listings, not creator or artist profiles directly. Receiving this support does not require you to buy a membership.
A Boost is a visibility feature, not a payment to the creator, a review or an endorsement. It does not bypass moderation or guarantee reach, sales or followers. Sharing useful experience and linking your work is a good starting point.
Stay in control
You can disconnect YouTube in your profile settings and revoke audio.reviews access from your Google account. Disconnecting stops access through that connection; it does not automatically erase everything already published on your audio.reviews profile. Use the profile controls or contact support if a public listing also needs changing or removal.
You can manage your profile and account deletion in Settings. The Privacy Policy explains stored data, retention and your rights. Provider permissions, server-side token storage and moderation are safeguards, not a guarantee that any online service is risk-free. Tell us at [email protected] if something looks wrong.
Ready to join?
Open your profile to sign in or register, add a recognizable name and image, then connect an available service from Settings. Submit only material you're entitled to share. Public submissions and directory applications are reviewed by moderators; approval is separate from creating an account.
Not sure where you fit, or missing an option? Write to [email protected]. We're still building audio.reviews and your questions help us make it more useful for creators, artists and the people who follow their work.
